Pennsylvania taxpayers can now use a new tax filing tool for the first time this year.
Direct File is a free online program that helps people file their federal and state tax returns directly with the IRS and Department of Revenue.
Like other tax software, the program guides you through interview-style questions to help you complete your returns.
Around 2.1 million Pennsylvanians are qualified to use Direct File, and you can check if you’re eligible on the IRS website.
