A Lyndora man has been placed in the Butler County Prison after he failed to register his vehicle and showing a child pornography in public.
Police were called to the Dunkin Donuts on the 200 block of North Main Street in Butler City on Sunday for a report of a man showing a child pornography.
Police say the man showed a juvenile child pornography on his phone. The child then told employees, who asked the man to leave.
Police were called and identified the man as 68-year-old Robert Elliot.
As police were investigating, they found that Elliot was a registered sex offender and also failed to register his vehicle to officers.
Police were able to track Elliot to a trampoline park in Center Township where he both admitted to showing the child pornography and placing a different license plate on his vehicle.
He was charged with fail to provide accurate registration information, corruption of minors, and possession of an instrument of a crime. He was placed in the prison on $250,000 cash bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing on March 3.
