All charges were held against a man accused of providing drugs that killed a woman in Clearfield Township.
Judge Lewis Stoughton held all charges against 70-year-old Sloan Hanson for providing the drugs in the death of 55-year-old Kimberly Ray. Hanson pled not guilty to this accusation in court.
Hanson’s defense attorney’s inferred in court that Hanson potentially wasn’t the only person who provided Ray drugs. Going as far to say that Ray was still in contact with an alleged drug dealer.
The attorney argued that Hanson only purchased heroin for Ray while an autopsy revealed a “drug cocktail” was responsible for Rays death. Drugs such as cocaine, morphine, and fentanyl were all found in Rays system.
When asked if the investigating officer on scene had seen the lab testing for drugs found on scene he said no. Then compared the potential threat of mix of drugs a twinkie.
“I don’t know what was in that report more than I know Monoglycerides and diglycerides are in a twinkie.”
Prosecutors also argued that Hansen’s inaction to seek medical help for Ray who was in medical decline also made him at fault. The defense argued that attempts were made to improve Ray’s health.
A formal arraignment has been sent for April 22 for Hanson.
