Those interested in enjoying the first day of spring outdoors will have the opportunity to do so later this week at a local park.
McConnells Mill State Park is hosting a First Day of Spring Hike on Thursday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. leaving from the Hells Hollow lot.
The Park Naturalist will lead a relaxing one-mile hike along the Hells Hollow trail while discussing signs of the new season and the beauty of the falls.
Participants should wear sturdy hiking boots and dress for the weather.
