A Slippery Rock University administrator has been named to a new group devoted to strengthening Pennsylvania’s relationship with Ireland.
Slippery Rock University President Dr. Karen Riley was recently chosen as a member of the Pennsylvania Ireland Trade Commission.
This commission, made up of about 15 business, education, and community leaders selected by Governor Josh Shapiro, will help promote business and academic exchange as well as support economic initiatives related to trade, investments, and policy of mutual interest.
Riley will also continue working alongside members of the PA Senate and House as a member of the Rural Population Revitalization Commission, dedicated to rural development.
