The Pittsburgh Penguins host the Washington Capitals for their final game of the season tonight at PPG Paints Arena. Face-off is 7pm. Pre-game on WISR begins at 6:30pm.
It is the Penguins annual “Shirts-Off Our Back” game. Fans will be selected to win game-worn jersey’s from Penguins players.
Defenseman Kris Letang will miss the Penguins’ final game of the season tonight after having successful surgery on his heart. The Penguins announced Wednesday that the 37-year-old Letang underwent surgery to close a small hole in his heart. Letang was first identified to have the issues back in 2014 after suffering the first of two strokes. After suffering a mild stroke in 2022, the six-time All-Star returned to win the Masterton Trophy in the 2022-23 season.
