A Butler man has pled guilty and sentenced for attempting to elude police after he allegedly discarded a controlled substance while driving.
22-year-old Damian Blystone has pled guilty for attempting to elude police and a DUI after a car chase in Butler City in December 2024.
Original charging documents accuse Blystone of throwing a container of what police to believe to be marijuana while attempting to flee. But that charge and other driving violations were dismissed.
In the plea agreement, Blystone will serve between one and six years in jail with time served; he’s accumulated just under four months.
Along with the jail time, Blystone will have to pay $5,400 in fines and complete alcohol highway safety school, 40 hours of community service, along with serving parole time.
