
Former Butler School Board Member Bill Halle was in court yesterday afternoon attempting to have the location of his trial moved and more.
The attorney representing Halle filed a motion to have the case moved from Butler due to media coverage. Citing a TV story that showed text messages between Halle and the alleged victim, along with social media posts.
Motions to suppress text messages, access documents in the possession of the Pennsylvania Attorney Generals office for a civil suit against Halle, and access to all communication Halle made while in prison were also filled.
A motion to recuse Judge William Shaffer was also filed but was denied on the bench.
Halle is facing charges of Sexual Assault by a volunteer or employee of a nonprofit, corruption of minors, criminal use of a communication facility, and more.
He’s currently out of prison on $20,000 bail.
