The American Lung Association is giving the Pittsburgh area another poor grade for its air quality.
In the 26th annual “State of the Air” report, the association ranked the Pittsburgh area as the 16th worst city for year-round pollution.
Allegheny County received a failing grade for pollution levels that were above the federal standard.
The report found Pittsburgh averages around 10.8 days unhealthy air quality days per year.
The State of the Air report also found that 46 percent of people in the U.S. live in an area with a failing air quality grade.
