A familiar name will appear on the ballot of voters in the city of Butler Mayor race this fall.
Former Mayor Tom Donaldson has secured the necessary paperwork from the Butler County Bureau of Elections to be listed as an independent candidate.
An Independent candidate is required to get at least 100 signatures in order to appear on the ballot alongside Democratic incumbent Bob Dandoy and Republican candidate Don Shearer.
Donaldson last held the office in 2018 and appeared on the ballot as an independent candidate four years ago.
