The stretch of hot weather is expected to last through the weekend.
The National Weather Service has announced a Heat Advisory through Friday at 8 p.m.
Temperatures are expected to be around 90 degrees both days, with heat index values nearing 100.
There’s also a chance of pop-up thunderstorms over the next two days. If the storms do arrive, they could become severe. Yesterday, some southern counties dealt with flash flooding because of the storms.
Officials again remind everyone to stay hydrated and try to stay out of the sun.
