A bill proposed by a local state senator is a signature away from becoming law in hopes of increasing the number of accountants in Pennsylvania.
Senator Scott Hutchinson’s “Addressing the Shortage of Accountants in Pennsylvania bill”, S.B. 719, passed unanimously in the state house this past week
The bill will would make it easier for out of state CPA’s to move into the state and provide new pathways for CPA’s to acquire a license.
After the bill is signed by the governor it will take effect in 60 days.
