A longtime staple of grocery store shelves has filed for bankruptcy.
Del Monte Foods announced they’ve entered Chapter 11 proceedings.
The 140-year-old company based out of California specializes in canned goods, but has seen a switch in consumer demand.
Del Monte is currently looking for a buyer and will continue to operate during the bankruptcy proceedings.
