Giant Eagle’s sale of GetGo to convenient store chain Couche-Tard is now official.
The $1.6 billion sale officially went into effect last week.
As part of the sale, the myPerks loyalty program will still remain for the time being. All of their staff and management will also stay on board as part of the sale.
Giant Eagle officials say they will be using the proceeds from the sale to go toward updating a number of grocery stores. They are also planning an expansion of their pharmaceutical operations after taking on prescriptions from Rite Aid, following their closures.
