A new law will hold sexual offenders working as a sports official more accountable.
Volunteer or employees of a nonprofit working as a sports official will have to register with SORNA (the Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act) if convicted of sexual abuse.
Officials say this bill will help clarify sentencing guidelines.
The bill passed through both the senate and house without a single no vote and was signed into law by Governor Josh Shapiro last week.
The law will take effect in 60 days.
