A Pittsburgh man is in the Butler County Prison after he allegedly assaulted and choked an ex-girlfriend.
The incident happened Monday night when police were called to a home in the 500 block of Second Street in the City of Butler for a reported domestic dispute.
When police arrived on scene they spoke with the victim who had bruising on her eye and red marks on her neck.
The victim told police that she and 48-year-old Buster Harper had gotten into a verbal argument. During the argument the victim asked Harper to leave but that is when Harper is alleged to have attacked the victim.
Harper was been charged with strangulation and simple assault. He’s being held on $30,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
