In addition to the activities surrounding Tuesday’s All-Star Game in Atlanta, will be the MLB entry draft. Rounds 1-though-3 will take place Sunday beginning at 6pm. Rounds 4-through-20 will take place Monday beginning at 11:30am.
The Pirates have the sixth overall pick in the opening round. It will be the sixth-straight draft the Pirates have had a top-10 selection. The Bucs will have four picks on the opening night of the draft. In addition to selections in Rounds 2 & 3, they will receive a “Competitve Balance” pick between the second and third rounds.
