The NHL schedule was released for the 2025-26 season Wednesday. The Pittsburgh Penguins will start their season using frequent flyer miles. They open the season in New York against the Rangers and former head coach Mike Sullivan October 7th, and by mid-November, they will have visited Los Angeles, Miami, Winnipeg and overseas to Sweden.
The Penguins home opener will be Thursday, October 9th against the New York Islanders. They host the Rangers that Saturday, before heading to the west coast. Three Thursday’s in October, the Pens travel to L.A., Florida and Minnesota.
The two games in Sweden will be against the Nashville Predators on Friday afternoon, November 14th and Sunday morning November 16th. The Pens play five games in the month of February surrounding the Olympics.
