A Butler woman is facing charges after she allegedly fought with police.
The incident happened overnight Monday at the Farmer’s Market in the City of Butler.
Police say 25-year-old Niya Adams allegedly pushed a woman to the ground.
As police were trying to take Adams into custody, she allegedly pushed an officer, punched a second in the face, and then fought a third officer causing cuts and other injuries.
She also damaged the police car once in custody.
She was charged with three counts of aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and several summery offenses. She was placed in the Butler County Prison on $75,000 bond as she awaits a July 21 preliminary hearing.
