Tuition at state colleges and universities, including Slippery Rock University, is going up.
The Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education Board voted to approve the tuition hike yesterday.
Students will see a $139 increase per semester, bringing yearly tuition costs to nearly $8,000.
The board voted for the increase due to uncertainty in the state budget. If more money is allocated for PASSHE schools, the tuition increase will be reimbursed to students.
