Pennsylvania officials are reminding veterans of services that are available if they are facing unexpected financial hardships.
The Veterans Temporary Assistance program provides veterans and their dependents with financial relief for things like food, shelter, fuel, and clothing.
Eligible veterans can qualify for up to $1,600 in a 12-month period.
In order to qualify, a veteran must have served a period of active duty in the Armed Forces and received a discharge.
More information can be found by contacting the Butler County Veteran Affairs office.
