The Slippery Rock Area School Board and administration are continuing to consider options in response to the decision issued by the PA Department of Education earlier this month.
At their meeting Monday night, the Board heard from multiple residents who expressed concern, frustration, and unhappiness with how the situation with former Moraine Elementary Principal Dr. Kristie Shulsky was handled.
The board and administrators did not have an update on the situation; instead standing by an earlier statement released expressing “disappointment in the decision” by PDE that returned Shulsky to district employment.
One option that appears off the table is utilizing Dr. Shulsky in her former position as Superintendent Dr. Angelo Angelucci said that he was looking forward to new Moraine Elementary Principal Shawn Zappia welcoming students back next month.
