The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for today with the heat index rising to triple digits.
Current highs in Butler County will see temperatures climb to the lower 90s but the heat-index will make it feel like 100 degrees outside.
The heat advisory is in effect until 8 p.m. tonight.
Officials remind residents when temperatures reach this high you are advised to limit time outdoors, stay in a cool location, and to stay hydrated.
