Local young people interested in learning more about childcare are invited to attend a class this weekend.
Butler County Parks and Recreation will be offering a Safe Sitter class for kids ages 11 to 16 who want to learn about how to keep younger children safe.
This program will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Rotary Pavilion of Adams Township Park. Participants will learn about prevention, responsibility, leadership, and professionalism but will not receive CPR certification. Those planning to attend are asked to bring lunch and drink as well as a doll or stuffed animal.
The cost to participate is $55 and space is limited with pre-registration required through the Butler County Parks and Recreation website.
