The Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the Colorado Rockies Friday night, 17-16.
The Pirates led 9-0 after the first inning. Oneil Cruz had a grand slam. Andrew McCutchen also had a 3-run home run.
The Pirates failed to hold leads of 9-0, 15-6, and 16-10 over the course of the game, allowing the Rockies to walk off in the 9th inning.
The Pirates and Rockies play again today at 3:10 PM. WISR pregame begins at 2:45 PM.
The Speedway Classic will be played tonight at 7 PM at Bristol Motor Speedway. The game is set to break the MLB attendance record with over 85,000 tickets sold. The game, between the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds, will be televised on Fox.
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds play tonight against Rhode Island at 7 PM at Highmark Stadium.
