The City of Butler is getting a new Dollar General that will feature grocery items.
According to Butler City Mayor Bob Dandoy, a lease has been finalized that will allow a Dollar General Market store to move into the site of the former Rite Aid which closed earlier this year.
In addition to items normally found in all Dollar Generals, this store will feature fresh produce, refrigerated and frozen food offerings, dairy products, and an assortment of fresh meats.
The company plans to have the store open by sometime in October, at which time the current Dollar General further north on Main Street will close.
