A federal appeals court has ruled it’s unconstitutional for mail-in ballots with the wrong date to be thrown out in Pennsylvania.
The long battle over mail-in ballots continues after a federal appeals court unanimously upheld a decision by a Pittsburgh federal judge.
The judges ruled that it was unconstitutional to discard ballots for having an incorrect date.
Pennsylvania law requires voters to write the date on the ballot but some voters will skip this step or write the wrong date.
The State Supreme Court has announced they will consider the issue at hand but avoided taking the issue before the 2024 presidential election.
