The Butler Township Planning Commission is recommending approval of a land development plan for a local business.
The Planning Commission heard from engineers about an expansion of the Farmer’s Mutual building at 205 South Eberhart Road.
There is no plan to immediately increase the number of employees at this corporate office facility. Instead, the company plans to add a second story and addition to increase available space by around 3,000 square feet. A 33-space parking lot in the back will eliminate the current need to back onto the road as well as manage storm water more effectively through the creation of a small pond behind the adjacent residential property which is also owned by Farmers.
A change of zoning for this property was approved by vote of the Township Commissioners at their meeting in July. This development plan will now be considered for final approval by Township Commissioners at their meeting later this month.
