A Sharpsville man is in the Butler County Prison after he allegedly hit the bride at a wedding.
Police were called to the Woods at Eisler Farms last Friday for a fight in progress.
Police say 26-year-old John Cianci was cut off from having any more alcohol. That’s when Cianci allegedly got into a verbal argument with the bride before hitting her with a closed fist knocking her to the ground.
According to charging documents, witnesses on scene described the punch as a “round house.” It’s also alleged Cicanci hit several other people as they attempted to subdue him.
He’s been charged with four counts of simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Cianci is being held on $5,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
