With the start of the football season, Pennsylvania gambling officials are reminding bettors to cautious of making wagers online.
A study by the Gaming Control Board says that 90 percent of sports bets are made online in the state. Officials say there are some websites that are not licensed by the state and can be prone to illegal activities.
The state has set up a website where bettors can check the list of verified online casinos.
The board also offers a self-exclusion program, where individuals can self-ban and be blocked from all online betting sites.
