Multiple crews were called to battle a brush fire in the Cherry Valley area yesterday.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center for a field on fire in the 3000 block of Oneida Valley Road.
Multiple departments were called in to battle the fire, which had spread in the field, sending smoke all through the area.
The fire did threaten a nearby home and pine trees, but was brought under control.
Crews remained on scene for about three hours.
