Hunters had a chance to head out to the woods this past Sunday for the first time since a major change in state law.
Legislators voted to repeal the ban on Sunday hunting earlier this year, and this past weekend allowed squirrel hunters to harvest on Sunday.
It’s also now the beginning of the hunting season for woodchucks, coyotes, antlerless deer on Ag Tag properties, crows and bobwhite quail.
A total of 13 Sundays have been approved for hunting for 2025.
