After charges were dismissed against a Cabot man for sexually assaulting a minor, charges have now been refiled.
A forensic interview with the victim led police to file charges against 49-year-old Michael Saunders for sexually assaulting a minor before and after turning 12 -years-old around 2021.
Earlier this summer Judge Joseph Kubit dismissed the initial charges, which were filed back in October 2024. Saunders is also facing charges of corruption of minors and indecent assault in a separate case.
Charges related to the sexual assaults of a minor in 2021 have now been refiled against Saunders.
Saunders had been out on bail for both cases.
The Butler County District Attorney prosecuting the case could not be reached for comment.
