Students from Ehrman Crest Elementary will be the recipients of new gym equipment thanks in part to the NFL.
The Seneca Valley School Board announced the district was awarded a $10,000 grant thanks to participation in an initiative with the American Heart Association and the NFL.
The Kids Heart Challenge and American Heart Challenge aimed to have students learn hands-only CPR to help boast survival rates in cardiac emergency situations. Along with promoting physical activity to maintain a healthy heart.
Physical education teacher Sara Coon led the effort which helped acquire money that will go towards a gym equipment makeover.
