Enrollment is up at Slippery Rock University according to school officials.
The university saw a 2.75 percent increase compared to last fall, with over 8,600 students enrolled this semester. That’s the largest single-year increase in the last nine years.
This fall also has the largest freshmen class since 2019 with just over 1,500 students.
Slippery Rock University says their enrollment increase is bucking the trend of other state schools, who have seen classes decrease over the last 10 years.
