More information has been released on a Pittsburgh man accused of fleeing from police in Cranberry and then being arrested in Pittsburgh this past weekend.
Sunday just before 4:30 a.m. police were called to a home in Cranberry Township for a man alleged to have spray painted several profane words on the victim’s home. The victim would identify the suspect as 29-year-old Shawn Green to police.
According to charging documents, police would eventually pull Green over in the area of Route 19 and Cranberry Square Drive and command Green to surrender. But that is when Green sped away on I-79 south bound to an apartment on the 100 block of Parkhurst Street in the City of Pittsburgh.
While escaping police custody it’s alleged Green called the 911 dispatched and threaten to kill the dispatcher and officers chasing after him.
Green is facing several charges including stalking, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, and possession of instrument of a crime. He’s being held in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond as he awaits an October 3rd preliminary hearing.
