Lawmakers in Pennsylvania are looking to block colleagues from profiting from cryptocurrency.
A bill aimed to block lawmakers from profiting off cryptocurrency has been introduced in the state house and been referred to the State Government House Committee.
The bill would ban lawmakers from trading any cryptocurrency that can be used as a “get-rich-scheme” according to the bill’s memo.
This ban would include owning, launching, promoting, or trading any coins while in office they hold a personal financial interest in.
No meeting dates or votes have happened on the proposed legislation.
