An inmate in the Butler County Prison is facing additional charges after he allegedly assaulted a prison guard.
Police originally took 28-year-old Stephen Call of Butler to the county prison after he allegedly shoved a woman to the ground in the City of Butler earlier this month.
Call is now facing new charges for allegedly getting into an argument and throwing a chair at a prison guard. While he was being put in handcuffs, Call then spit on officers.
Call was later taken to the shower area but refused to take off the handcuffs. While in the shower he then struck a guard in the face, chest, and neck area.
Call is now facing additional charges of assault by a prisoner facility employee, two counts of aggravated harassment by a prisoner, and simple assault. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 6.
