A Girls Scout camp in Butler County that has been open for over 100 years is now closed and is expected to be sold.
Camp Redwing has operated in Connoquenessing Township since 1923, but the Girls Scouts of Western Pennsylvania have decided to close and sell the camp.
The organization says that the decision was made with “local experts as well as through cost-benefit analysis.”
The scouts say they will continue to provide outdoor experiences and are focused on supporting Girl Scouts through other venues and programs as well.
