Peoples Natural Gas is alerting customers that the Dollar Energy Fund will open tomorrow and information is available on who can apply.
Customers can receive a one-time payment from the Dollar Energy Fund for grants up to $500, on a first-come first-serve basis.
To qualify customers must have a total gross household income at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level. But there are other guidelines to qualify including…
- Gas service is off or is at risk of being turned off
- Have applied for Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program
- Account is for a single-family home or apartment
- Name on the account lives at the address
- Have made a good faith payment in the last 90 days
