State Police all throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania are receiving reports of scams alert and reminding everyone how to avoid a scam.
State police say that the calls seem like they are coming from station phone numbers but in reality, they are not. They will claim to be a Lieutenant with the force and will insist that fines must be paid or you’ll face legal consequences.
State Police say do not provide any information to these callers as police will never ask for funds and “nor would we conduct business in this manner.”
If you believe that you are victim or target for these calls you are asked to contact your local state police department.
More information can be found on the PSP website.
