Several local residents recently received recognition for their positive impact on the community.
The non-profit organization Take A Stand held their first annual Take a Stand Awards on Sunday at the Atrium.
This organization, founded by Butler County resident Samantha Roth, is an interactive community against sexual violence that provides educational tools, resources, and activities for U.S. school systems.
Those honored include Giavonna Barone and Kendra Worsley receiving the Kid In Action Award, Logan S. Andres receiving the Safe Space Award, Indie Wild receiving the Community Volunteer Award, and Shellie Hipsky of The Global Sisterhood achieving the Rising Partnership Award.
