Two local food banks are receiving financial awards from First Energy.
The Gleaners Food Bank in Cranberry Township was awarded $15,000 and the Northern Butler County Feed My Sheep Cupboard in Slippery Rock received $5,000.
First Energy made the donations as part of Hunger Action Month.
The company awarded $750,000 in grants to 37 food banks across the state.
