Hunters are getting ready for the start of deer archery season.
It officially kicks off Saturday morning across the Commonwealth.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission estimates that around 350,000 hunters will hit the woods through November 21st and December 26th through January 19th including seven Sundays.
The law that enabled Sunday hunting also increased the fines for people caught trespassing while hunting on private property while also legalizing the use of deer urine products across the state.
Last year’s harvest across the state was just over 178,000 deer, including nearly 88,000 bucks. Visit the Game Commission’s YouTube page for videos to help deer hunters.
