A former volleyball coach and elementary school teacher in the Freeeport School District has officially resigned from his position.
After allegations he sexually assaulted a 16-year-old girl, 50-year-old Jared Lampus was put on leave by Freeport Area School District.
Last week, Lampus officially resigned from his position as a teacher with the school district.
During his arraignment Lampus pled not guilty to charges held against him.
He’s currently being held in the Butler County Prison on $500,000 bond and a formal arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow.
