Starting this weekend, Butler City is opening the leaf dump in Memorial Park.
The disposal area will be open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 9 to 5 on weekends.
City officials say the area is only for leaves—no brush, rubbish, or garbage is allowed and all leaves must be removed from plastic bags.
The leaf dump will be open until December 13th.
City residents interested in curbside collection can call the streets department after all the leaves have fallen at 724-285-8440.
