Attorney General Dave Sunday is issuing an alert for health insurance shoppers to be aware of potential scams.
The AG’s Healthcare Section has seen an increase in fake websites that are posing as official online insurance market places.
The only official Pennsylvania market place is Pennie and the website address is www.Pennie.com. You can also register with Pennie by calling 1-844-844- 8040.
Consumers are also told to be wary of scam calls or emails they receive during open enrollment season and to never provide information to unknown callers or emails.
If you think you may be a victim of a scam you’re asked to file a compliant by calling the AG Office’s Health Care section at 1-877-888-4877 or on the Attorney Generals website.
