A local fire department is opening a new food bank to help local residents.
The Oneida Valley Fire Department will be distributing food every Wednesday night from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Officials with the department say it is free and open to the public.
If anyone would like to donate, they can visit the fire department on Route 38 at any time and drop food off in the donation box. Any type of food will be accepted.
The first distribution will be held tonight.
