The Pennsylvania Department of Human Resources is alerting parents to an infant formula recall.
The ByHeart Whole Nutrition Infant Formula is being recalled after one Pennsylvania infant was hospitalized with an illness contacted to the formula.
Infant Botulism can cause serious conditions or even be fatal for children under 12 months old.
If your infant is experiencing poor feeding, loss of head control, difficulty swallowing, or decreased facial expression, seek immediate medical assistance.
Any formula with a use by date of December 1, 2026 should immediately throw it out. An investigation into what caused the contamination is ongoing.
