Improvements continue to be made as part of the Knoch High School construction project.
Board members approved a couple of change orders at their meeting with the first at just over $13,000 for the addition of a set of stairs to the left of the stage in the auditorium.
A glass wall was considered but board members eventually decided to go with a cable railing option. Knoch will receive $7,500 from their design firm as part of an effort to defray the cost of this code mandated addition.
The second change order for nearly $3,000 is to install three heat detectors in place of smoke detectors in the high school locker rooms. This was determined to be necessary after steam from the showers set off the smoke alarms in that area.
